What is Dental Sedation?
With dental sedation, we use a variety of techniques to help patients feel more comfortable during dental procedures.
At Tuscany Dental Centre, we do everything in our power to help patients relax and feel at ease during their dental appointments. Along with offering dental sedation options, we commit to working at your pace, taking breaks when you need them and providing calm reassurance as required.
Dental Anxiety
Many patients feel anxious when it comes to seeing the dentist. If this is you, you're not alone. Often, even people who attend dental appointments regularly still feel anxious about going.
For people who get significantly nervous around dental procedures, experience a gag reflex, have time constraints or complex treatment needs, we may recommend oral sedation.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedatives can be prescribed in liquid or pill form. This medication is intended to be taken orally prior to a dental appointment. It will leave you awake for the procedure and create a calming effect to induce feelings of relaxation.
